Book Synopsis: James Patterson returns to the genre that made him famous with a thrilling teen detective series about the mysterious and magnificently wealthy Angel family . . . and the dark secrets they're keeping from one another.
On the night Malcolm and Maud Angel are murdered, Tandy Angel knows just three things: 1) She was the last person to see her parents alive. 2) The police have no suspects besides Tandy and her three siblings. 3) She can't trust anyone--maybe not even herself. Having grown up under Malcolm and Maud's intense perfectionist demands, no child comes away undamaged. Tandy decides that she will have to clear the family name, but digging deeper into her powerful parents' affairs is a dangerous-and revealing-game. Who knows what the Angels are truly capable of?

When I was wondering around Barns & Noble I was looking for a mystery novel. I have been watching a lot of crime shows on Netflix the past 3 months and was in the mood to read a mystery. I saw this novel sitting on the shelf and that James Patterson wrote it. Now I have heard of James Patterson before (I mean come on who hasn't) but I have never read one of this books before. To be Honest I did not know he wrote young adult books.
This book was awesome! The very first chapter got me hooked and wanting to know what really had happend to Tandy's parents that night and who killed them. I I read it in less than 24 hours. it was very easy to read. The chapters were approximately 3-5 pages or less, which makes it very hard to put down because I would say to myself "just one more chapter its only 3 pages......etc".
I feel in love with the main character Tandy Angel in this novel. Tandy is the only girl in a family of 4 children. Her parents are very controlling and want her to be the best she can be. When her parents Malcolm and Maud are found dead in their apartment the police and the public believe it had to be Tandy or one of her brothers. Her family was in the public eye because her father founded a pharmaceutical company and her brother Matthew was a NFL football player. Tandy decided that she was going to figure out who murdered her parents. She investigated each and everyone of her siblings because they all had a motive to murder her parents. Her parents were very stricked and controlling on all of them. A major story line in this book is this guy named James whom Tandy fell in love with. Throughout this book she couldn't remember anything about him. All she knew was that he disappeared and never heard from him again. Throughout the rest of this book the pieces of their relationship are slowing coming back to Tandy.
I cant wait to read the next book in this series.
