He is living the Dream, and his marriage to the bewitching Vivian is the center of the dream. But underneath the shiny surface of this perfect existence, fault lines are beginning to appear...and no one is more surprised than Russ when he finds every aspect of the life he took for granted turned upside down.
In a matter of months, Russ finds himself without a job or wife, caring for his young daughter London while struggling to adapt to a new baffling reality. Trying to launch his own business while grappling with the demise of his marriage, the only thing he knows for certain is that London must be sheltered from the consequences of these radical changes. Throwing himself into the wilderness of single parenting, Russ embarks on a journey at once terrifying and rewarding-one that will test his abilities and his emotional resources beyond anything he ever imagined.
When a chance encounter with an old flame tempts him to take a chance on love again, he will navigate this new opportunity with trepidation and wonder. But with the loyal support of his parents and his wise older sister Marge, and in the hard-won lessons of fatherhood, Russ will finally come to understand the true nature of unconditional love- that it is a treasure to be bestowed, never earned.

                                   (Spoiler Free)

I have been a Nicholas Spark fan for years. I have read most of his books and seen all of his movies. When I saw this book out at Barns & Noble I immediately picked it up. I had no idea what this book was even about. I did not care because I knew I would like anything written by Nicholas Sparks.

This book did not disappoint. This book hooked me in by the very first chapter. It had me laughing at the way Russell Green described his wife hours before labor. He says his wife Vivian's is glowing. He says " What exactly is glowing, anyway? Is it just another way of saying someone looks hot and sweaty?" Hands down one of my favorite lines from the book because its true what do people really mean when they say you have a pregnancy glow?

I loved the relationship Russell had with his daughter London. On some Friday nights both Russell and his daughter would her dressed up and have date night together. London loved date nights with her father, especially since he worked and she was at school. It reflects how much a girl needs not just her mother but her father as well. Parents play a very important role in children's life, weather he parent knows it or not.

This book also shows how great it is to be able to live close to your family. Russell and Vivian live in Charlotte North Carolina very close to Russell parents and his sister Marge In the book Russell goes to visit his parents a lot and really begin to rely on them to help out with London.

I couldn't put this book down, I constantly wanted to read it. My boyfriend would ask me what is happening in the book that you can not put it down. I thought to myself, "well nothing really its about a man who is constantly battling his day to day life ". That is the best part of this book is I felt like Russell Green was part of my family. I felt like I was a fly on the wall in the book rooting for him to make certain decisions.

This is my very first book review I have ever written. Thank you for reading it

Welcome

Hey book lovers, welcome to by blog. I am very excited to be start sharing my thoughts on books that I have read. I have have loved books every since I was a kid. To me a book is like a movie. I get so involved with the characters that I can not wait to continue reading too see how their stories play out. My favorite books to read are young adult books.  Some of my favorite YA authors are Sarah Dessen, Richelle Mead (Vampire Academy Series is my absolute favorite series thus far), Veronica Roth, and Casandra Clare. I like some adult novels by Nicholas Sparks and Sophie Kinsella (my first book review will be Nicholas Sparks latest novel).
